About the event
AHTM Awareness Training
You’re invited to be part of a thoughtful and informative training focused on caring for survivors of human trafficking. This session, led by The Landing, offers a meaningful opportunity to learn, grow, and understand how compassion, awareness, and action come together in this important work.
During the training, The Landing team will share an overview of human trafficking, explain how trauma impacts the brain, and walk through how their ministry supports and restores survivors. You’ll also learn practical ways to get involved and partner with the work God is doing through The Landing. While this training is a required step for those interested in volunteering at The Landing’s Drop-In Center, it is open to all community members who want to better understand these issues.
The training will take place at the Humble Campus Youth Loft (Generations Building) from 9:00–11:00 AM. Light snacks and drinks will be provided. This session is open to adults 18 years and older and is a valuable opportunity to learn how to care well and respond wisely.
